Performance Assessment (Final Project/Assessment)
Performance Task 1 - Interpretive 

Students will be introduced to new vocabulary words and will interpret them for meaning.

Performance Task 2 - Presentational 

Using new vocabulary learned, students will describe what they would wear to a specific location.

Performance Task 3 - Interpersonal 

Students will use new vocabulary to interview each other with the goal of finding classmates who wear certain articles of clothing.

Activities
Opening Activities / Setting the Stage 

Students will view an image of famous French fashion designer, Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel, better known as Coco Chanel.

Main Activities - Comprehensible Input 

Using images, students will be introduced to new vocabulary about clothing. Instructor will model pronunciation and point out the gender of new words.

Main Activities - Guided Practice 

As a class, students will interact with instructor to create sentences using new words. Together, they will decide if certain descriptions make sense for certain articles of clothing.

Main Activities - Independent Practice 

Students will interview classmates by completing the activity "Find someone who..." in order to find classmates who are wearing or possess certain articles of clothing.

Closure 

Students will choose an event that they will attend in the near future and will write a paragraph saying what the event is and what they will wear including at least 4 articles of clothing and using as much as detail as possible.
